Kazakhmys and KM Life Insurance Companies have joined the Green Office Program initiated by ECO Network.
ECO Network is the largest ecosystem in Central Asia dedicated to promoting environmental culture, responsible consumption, and waste separation practices. Today, the ECO Network system covers 10 cities across Kazakhstan and includes more than 250 offices participating in the Green Office Program, employing approximately 40,000 people.
Two-day educational sessions on environmental awareness were organized for company employees, with around 200 participants attending. In addition to gaining new knowledge and taking part in surveys, participants had the opportunity to win eco-friendly prizes, including phone stands and keychains featuring Almaty symbols made from recycled plastic.
According to ECO Network, 20–25% of participants transfer environmentally responsible habits from the workplace into their daily lives, introducing responsible consumption and waste separation practices within their families. Many employees find it convenient to sort waste at home and bring it to eco-boxes located in the office.
The participation of Kazakhmys and KM Life Insurance Companies in the Green Office Program is another step toward building an environmentally responsible corporate culture and supporting sustainable development.
